How to recycle your empty ink cartridges with UK Ink Supplies?
Millions of ink and toner cartridges are simply thrown away every year, ending up in landfill sites across the world. The plastics and metals they contain take thousands of years to decompose. Recycling helps prevent this. Re-using what would normally be thrown away has dramatic effects. It not only protects our environment, recycling slows mans consumption of the Earth's already depleted resources.
UK Ink Supplies wholly support recycling initiatives which can benefit the environment. This is why we send out a FREEPOST envelope with orders to enable you to recycle your old ink cartridges quickly and easily. All you need to do is put your old ink cartridge into the FREEPOST envelope provided and drop it into a post box. It is a FREEPOST address so there is no cost to you. Alternatively you can send your old cartridges to our offices in Lincoln or Wigan, and we will send them on for recycling. Our recycling partner, The Recycling Factory have designed processes and manufactured equipment to clean and refill used ink cartridges. Any cartridges that are unusable or damaged are then broken down and the plastics and metals that are recovered are recycled - not sent to landfill.
The Recycling Factory are able to recycle virtually all ink cartridges manufactured by Hewlett Packard, Lexmark and Dell. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, cartridges manufactured by Epson, and many manufactured by Canon cannot be recycled.
